Having said ”not thanks” to his Kona slot for this year, Patrik had put his eyes on
Sweden’s home ground IM race.
”We need a pro male form Sweden to win this, it is our race, and i am going to give it all i have this year”.
With this statement, and even giving up the dream of racing in Kona, everybody was looking at Patrik that morning, and the support during the day was hard to describe, says coach Frank, that had the pleasure ”to watch the show”.
Not only did he win, but with 8 hours and 8 min of racing, he also took the Swedish record, on a day that was nothing like a record day, with a rough swim, winds on the bike, and heat on the run.
Th future is looking good for Patrik, and I am so proud to work with him.
