Discussions of camp outline, goals, Q & A

Swim: Forster Beach Ocean Pool aka ‘The Bull Ring’
This swim is to provide the coaches with a base line of the athlete’s ability.
Swim stroke correction, race strategy as well as a general fitness session will be covered in today's pool swim.

Saturday
6:30am
Bike: Meet at entrance to Dorsal Hotel for departure

3.5h Endurance ride with Tempo blocks.

Ride shoulder to shoulder with Craig and his coaches. Hear some war stories about riding the Queen K and what its like to ride into the trade winds out on the Kona course.

Craig, Matt and Brett will be out riding with the athletes, taking them through their paces. They will be providing feedback on bike position, training tips as well as completing a series of tempo blocks and race efforts throughout the bike ride.

For those that are able to walk after the ride, there will be a Transition RUN 20-30min off the bike.

Question Time

This is your chance to ask whatever you want to know from Craig, Matt and Brett.

Training, racing, mindset and nutrition. What do you need to know?

Swim Session: Forster Beach Ocean Pool (We aren’t done yet!)

Wetsuit Session. Race simulation swimming for the afternoon.

Bring your wetsuit and learn how your swim technique changes under race conditions and by using a wetsuit - Strength Endurance Focus.

Group Dinner: With Craig, Matt & Brett

Mexican Restaurant, Forster town centre. This is your time to grab some one on one time with Craig and his coaches.

Sunday

Long Run: Time to test the legs!

A long run (1hr 40mins - 2hrs) will depart at 7:00am from the Dorsal Hotel.

This run is designed for the athletes to concentrate on good running form after the last 2 days of training.

The first 20-30 mins will be focused around delivering running tips, form correction as well as race tips for the long hall.

11:00am
Bike: 1hr - 1.5hrs (Flat ride - Time to spin the legs out!)

A group ride to cater for all levels. This ride will be designed as a social ride and give everyone a chance to ride with Craig and discuss the coaching tips that have been covered over the weekend, so that you never stop learning!

Frequently asked questions
How much access will I have to Craig "Crowie" Alexander and the coaches?
Craig and the coaches will be at the camp 24/7 for the entire duration of the 3 days. They will be by your side through all the training sessions, drills, and to answer all of your questions.
What level of athlete do I need to be in order to come to the camp?
We welcome people of all ages, levels and abilities to our training camps. Whether you are a first timer, weekend warrior, an experienced age grouper, or a professional athlete, our coaches can work with people of all levels.
What are the accommodation options?
Our partner hotel in Forster is the Dorsal Hotel - www.dorsalhotel.com.au/forster-hotel They have a very special deal for our Sansego athletes. SPECIAL PRICE: ONLY $80 per person, per night. (Normally $180-$330 per night). They can accommodate 42 people. Some will be on their own and some double up. Cost will be $80.00 per person per night and check in is 2pm but some of them will be able to check in earlier as some rooms will already be clean. Athletes can leave luggage in the conference until their room is finished. There are plenty of other accommodation options in Forster as well.
What are the arrival & departure times?
We recommend you arrive by 2pm on Friday, February 12, 2016. The camp will begin from 3:00pm that afternoon. You must provide your own transportation. The conclusion of the camp will be at 1:00pm on Sunday, February 14, 2016.
What should I bring to the camp?
Please keep track of the weather forecast and bring appropriate clothing. The following items are a sample list of what you will need:
  • All swim gear (including wetsuit)
  • All cycle gear
  • All run gear
  • Sunscreen
  • All your nutrition needs
What are the registration & cancellation policies?

Sansego Club Members receive a $100 discount for the camp. All payments are required upfront in one single payment process through our online system.

If you cancel more than 2 weeks before the camp you will receive a full refund for your payment.

If you cancel inside the 2 weeks before the camp you will receive a 50% refund for your payment.

Sansego reserves the right to cancel a camp at any time. In this event, the athlete will be issued a full refund for the camp registration fee. Sansego is not responsible for expenses associated with planning the athlete’s trip including, without limitation, airfare, lodging, meals, transportation, etc., (collectively “Athlete Expenses”) to attend any camp.

The camp will be conducted based on the schedule posted prior to the camp, but Sansego reserves the right to modify the camp schedule based on, without limitation, weather and the number or skill level of athletes in attendance.

If you are not satisfied with your camp experience, please notify a coach or the camp manager as soon as possible DURING THE CAMP.

Sansego will make a considerable effort to remedy any issues. Refunds will not be issued for camps once the camp has commenced.
